Fine foliage has small particles that create smooth and compact foliage with no grainy look. The bright green shade stands in for young, spring or sunlit greenery and shows at its best as a lighter layer over a darker base. This item differs from the ordinary package in quantity alone: the larger volume is intended where greenery covers a continuous area and a smaller bag would not be enough, that is, typically on larger layouts, woodland as a whole or a series of trees built at one time. Coat the base or the armature with thinned PVA or scenic glue, apply the material, or dip the armature into it, and let it dry. Tap the excess back into your supply. When working over a large area it pays to proceed in sections, so that the glue does not dry before the foliage lands on it. You achieve naturalness by mixing shades and layering; bright greenery belongs above all in sunlit places. Fix the finished growth with a misting of thinned glue through a sprayer.
