A man and a woman sit on a bench. She holds a cup of popcorn, he has not noticed at all the stout pug that is at this moment trying to steal his hot dog. Beside them stands a man pressing a bottle to his belly, another just looks on with his thumbs hooked into his suspenders, and nearby a woman holds on to her hat and her handbag.

The set belongs to the part of the range that does not create a backdrop on a layout but a story. Every figure has a gesture of its own and all the gestures point to one spot, the hot dog. An arrangement like this works best in a place where the gaze stops: at the entrance to a park, on a small square in front of a station concourse or at a stop with trains passing by.

The figures are shaped as full-figured, and that is exactly what is valuable about the set. Most figures on layouts have the same slim silhouette, so crowds come out monotonous. A different body build breaks a crowd up and the scene looks more convincing at once.

The stated ratio of 1:87 corresponds to HO size. The bench itself is not included, so reckon on the one you already have on the layout, or add one separately. The figures are seated so that their gazes point into the scene, otherwise it falls apart into individuals.

The popcorn and the hot dog move the scene into a setting where refreshments are sold. On a layout that corresponds to the area around a stand, a promenade along water or the space in front of the entrance to an amusement park. Just add a trash can and a few small things under the bench and the scene closes itself.
