GULF Blue (17ml)

Real Colors RC844 GULF Blue, 17 ml

An acrylic modeling paint from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive, the manufacturer's part number RC844, 17 ml package. The shade carries the name GULF Blue and forms the light blue area of the two-color racing scheme that became established under that name.

Where the color is used

Most often it serves as the base color of the body of a sports or endurance car model, over which the contrasting stripe is then run. The same range offers the orange counterpart of the same scheme under the number RC839. On its own the shade comes into its own wherever a calm light blue is needed.

How to work with the paint

• Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before loading the brush, as the pigment settles to the bottom.
• A light blue lets the surface show through, so lay it over a uniform light base, to keep marks from filling and sanding from showing up.
• Apply it first; spray the contrasting stripe over a dry, hardened coat with a mask.
• For thinning and for cleaning, use a thinner intended for the Real Colors range; the manufacturer's instructions state the ratio.
• Test the shade on scrap plastic with the same base color the model will have.

Storage and packaging

Close the bottle carefully and store it away from heat and frost.

The package contains one bottle of paint of 17 ml. The thinner, brushes, masks, an airbrush and a model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
