The Haruna was completed in 1915 by the yard at Kobe and she was the first large Japanese ship built by a private company. After two modernizations she reached a speed that let her escort the carrier forces, and in that role she appeared at practically all the major operations of the Pacific war including the fighting in Leyte Gulf. Her end came only in July 1945 in the shallows off Kure under raids by American carrier aircraft. She was never raised and in the postwar years she was broken up on the spot.
Lay the mask onto cured paint, otherwise the base will peel off with it when it is removed. Try the wooden covering dry and shorten any overhangs with a new blade, because once it is seated it cannot be moved. Level the photo-etched items on a hard surface first and attach them only once the spraying is finished. Rather keep the finished areas covered between the individual steps.
