A modeling tool, not a kit or an accessory to a model. It is an interchangeable bit with a hex profile that fits into a screwdriver handle and takes the place of a separate hex key. The advantage is obvious: one handle your hand is used to, and an interchangeable working end to go with it.
Hex fasteners appear in modeling more often than you would think. They hold the frames and axles of radio-controlled vehicle kits together, anchor motors and servos, and are used on the chassis of larger models and on workshop jigs on the bench. It is advisable to tighten only to the stop; overtightening on plastic components is the most common way of ruining a thread.
