A printed replacement for the cockpit entry door for a model of the Hawker Hurricane Mk.II in 1:48 scale. The thin wall and fine detail show above all with the door open.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.II was a British fighter of the Second World War that differed from its contemporaries in construction: the rear fuselage was a tube frame covered with fabric. The pilot got into the cockpit through a hinged door in the side of the fuselage, a detail that catches the eye at once on a model with an open cockpit.
This is a printed replacement part for the cockpit entry door in 1:48 scale. The part is made by printing, so once it is separated from the supports all that is needed is to sand their marks away. Against the part from the kit the main difference is in the thickness of the wall and in the detail on the inner side, which is visible when the door is open. The kit the set is meant for is given in the manufacturer instructions.
Carefully separate the part from the print supports with a sharp blade, sand the marks away with fine abrasive paper and smooth the surface. The material is not polystyrene; ordinary cement for plastic models will not join it, so use super glue. Wash and degrease the part before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold, and start with a thin coat of primer. On the model the door is fitted right at the end so that it does not break off during further handling. An open door only makes sense if the cockpit is furnished as well.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
