The shade is mixed to match the finish of this car, so it suits anyone building a model of a racing car who does not want to put the shade together from several paints themselves. The Hyundai i20 WRC is the rally version of a production car, built for the top class of the world rally championship, where the works team ran a full season program.
Choose the thinner meant for this range and keep to the thinning ratio stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. Stir the paint thoroughly before use, so that the pigment settled at the bottom joins with the binder. Apply several thin coats instead of one heavy one and let the surface dry through between coats. On the body of a racing car that pays off twice over: a glossy area without an even coat looks unfinished and every unevenness shows on it.
Wash and degrease the body before spraying, as paint will not hold on a greasy surface. Try the shade on a piece that will not be seen, because it looks different once dry than it does in the bottle. Choose a light, uniform base, otherwise differences in the color of the parts will show through the paint. Clean the tools and the airbrush with the thinner meant for this range right after work. Ventilate the room and protect your airways while spraying and while cleaning.
