Tamiya LP-36 Dark Ghost Gray is a lacquer paint from the Tamiya Color Lacquer Paint (LP) range - that is, a modeling paint, not a kit. The bottle holds 10 ml, and the shade is recommended for the colors of modern aircraft. Tamiya has three separate chemistries: acrylic (thinner X-20A), enamel (thinner X-20) and LP lacquer (thinner LP-10). This paint therefore cannot be thinned with water or with an acrylic thinner. LP is a lacquer range, not an acrylic one, and it is worth keeping that in mind when choosing a thinner.
Dark Ghost Gray is the darker half of the pair of grays that modern American combat aircraft have worn since the 1980s in their low-visibility finish - among them the F-15 and the carrier fighters of the US Navy. The scheme is sprayed in two tones: the darker gray on the upper and side surfaces, the lighter one on the lower surfaces, with soft, blurred transitions between them. That is exactly the point of the scheme - to suppress the silhouette of the machine against the sky and against the ground alike. The other half is Tamiya LP-37 Light Ghost Gray, and without it the scheme simply cannot be completed. The two paints therefore belong together.

The paint contains organic solvents: it is highly flammable and gives off strong fumes. Work in a well ventilated area, use a respirator with a filter for organic vapors and protect your eyes and skin. Keep out of the reach of children and away from sources of fire and heat. The LP-10 thinner is not included in the package.
