Lining engraved detail is the job of Grey Liner from Lifecolor — a liquid pigment from the Liquid Pigments Washes range in a neutral gray tone. It is laid into a line with the tip of a brush and left to flow.

This shade from the Liquid Pigments Washes range by Lifecolor is a liquid pigment built for bringing out lines. A neutral gray tends to be the most versatile choice: on light areas it draws the detail out without acting as hard as black does, and it does not load the surface with a foreign color cast.
The procedure differs from application across an area. After shaking thoroughly, take only a small amount on a thin brush and touch it to the groove or the panel line — the fluid then runs by itself and fills the line. Do not drag the brush across the surface; only touch it down and move it along the line. Wipe any excess that spills outside off before it dries.
If a line is too strong, weaken it. Going over it with a clean soft brush along the line softens the edges and the drawing stops looking drawn on. Weaker lines are always easier to strengthen than strong ones are to remove.
A classic wash is often laid on across an area and then wiped off; a lining shade is laid deliberately only where the line is to be. And because it is a liquid pigment, once dry a pigment deposit stays in the line, not a mere coloring — so the drawing looks deeper.
For aircraft modelers and for everyone who works with light surfaces and is looking for more restrained lining. A neutral gray combines easily and does not spoil the color of the surrounding finish.
Keep out of the reach of children. Stir the contents before every use and close the bottle carefully. Check how it behaves on a particular surface on a test piece.
