Burned metal areas and the surroundings of exhausts are dealt with by Reddish Burn Liquid Pigments Washes from Lifecolor, a liquid pigment in the reddish shade of a scorched surface.
Responsibility details are not available.
Reddish Burn is a shade from the Liquid Pigments Washes range of liquid pigments that aims at one particular situation: the place where heat changed the color of metal. The reddish tone suits the surroundings of exhaust outlets, mufflers, gun barrels and the areas where the material overheated for a long time.
A local tone against a tone across an area
Most toning products are spread over a whole area to even the color out. This shade is used the other way round, deliberately and on a small patch, and its job is to create a transition. It is laid on from the hottest place outward and gradually fades, so that no sharp boundary forms between the color of the metal and the reddish scorching. If the transition does turn out too quick, a second weak layer at the edge will help.
For modelers of vehicles, aircraft and motorcycles who want heat coloring under control and do not want to rely on a single brown shade for everything. Paired with the other shades of the range it builds a smooth transition from a red-hot center to a cool edge.
Stir the contents before application. Work in a ventilated space and keep out of the reach of children.
