Luminous Orange is a saturated signal orange that the RAL standard lists under the number 2005 as a luminous shade. It is one of the most conspicuous colors of the whole standard: against an ordinary orange it reads sharper and in daylight it almost glows. The reference to the standard has a practical value, because it lets you obtain the same shade later or compare it with a paint from another line.
A saturated orange appears on models wherever a surface is meant to be seen from a distance: on warning bands, on the highly visible parts of trainers and rescue machines, on small accessories and on markings in a diorama. It also serves as a base for toning toward red or for graded layering of saturated colors.
The Orange Line aims at modelers who want a shade with a clearly defined basis in a standard and use it repeatedly. Unless stated otherwise, a single bottle of paint is supplied; a brush, thinner and the model are not included in the package. The volume of the package, the drying time and the recommended thinning follow the manufacturer's data on the packaging.
