MERDC CAMOUFLAGE COLORS SET

AK Interactive MERDC Camouflage Colors Set

The MERDC Camouflage Colors Set is a set of water-based modeling acrylic paints from the Spanish brand AK Interactive. The shades match the MERDC camouflage schemes, that is the multi-color camouflage of US Army vehicles of the Cold War period. The paints are thinned with water or with an acrylic thinner and are applied with a brush as well as an airbrush.

What the set is for

MERDC, named after the US Army engineer equipment development center, is a system of camouflage patterns in which several shades are combined according to the environment and the season. The set holds the shades needed to put those patterns together; the exact make-up and the number of bottles follow the manufacturer's current packaging.

Use

• Painting US Army vehicles in MERDC camouflage schemes.
• Application with an airbrush as well as a brush, thinning with water or an acrylic thinner.
• Shake the paint before use and apply it in thin coats.
• For sharp transitions of the patterns, masking or freehand spraying at low pressure suits.

Who the set is for

Modelers of Cold War armored hardware who want the shades for a MERDC scheme together in one place will appreciate it. Suitable for beginners as well as advanced users.

Safety: a water-based product, yet keep it out of the reach of children, avoid contact with the eyes and do not swallow it. Spray in a well ventilated space.
