Metal Medium is an auxiliary product from the AK Interactive range, supplied in a bottle holding 17 ml. Mediums in modeling are not used instead of paint but together with it: they change how the coating behaves during application, that is above all its flow, the time it takes to become tacky and the cohesion of the layer. The exact purpose of this product, the recommended mixing ratio and the ranges it is compatible with are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging and in the product instructions, and those are what you should follow first.
Shake the bottle well before use so that the contents are uniform. Mix in a separate container or on a palette rather than directly in the paint bottle, and test the resulting ratio first on a piece of plastic or on a less conspicuous part of the model. The base must be clean and degreased before application. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions, that is the thinner intended for this range. Clean brushes and the airbrush immediately after the work, as dried residue is considerably harder to remove.
The product will be appreciated by a modeler who tunes a finish and does not rely on paint straight from the bottle alone. The 17 ml volume matches an ordinary modeling bottle. Store it well closed, away from frost and out of direct sunlight.
