This is a consumable refill for the frame sander, not a tool in its own right. The tape is tensioned in the flexible frame, which holds it and makes it possible to sand with a pulling stroke. The backing is a fine cloth, so the tape is flexible, durable and follows the shape of the surface easily, on both inner and outer curves. The box holds an assortment of very fine grits, which covers the whole sequence of progressive refinement up to a polished surface.

Use

• Polishing clear parts such as canopies, windows, lights and instrument covers back to clarity.
• Removing the scratches and uneven marks left by sanding with coarser grits.
• Sanding between coats and smoothing the paint before the decals or the final layer go on.
• Finishing chromed and polished surfaces, where a smooth shine with no matte smears is needed.

Who the tapes are for

For modelers who already own the frame sander and need to replace worn tapes, and above all for those who concentrate on finishing the surface. It is important to know what this type of abrasive cannot do: it is not meant for removing larger amounts of material. It serves for the final finish, that is, for making the surface look professional after coarser sanding. The coarse work has to be done with other grits.

The tapes work better wet, as the water washes away the material removed and prevents clogging. Let the tapes dry after work.
