A Microbrush is a disposable micro applicator with a small fibrous head on a flexible stick; it is not a brush with hair. The fibers do not soak the medium up into themselves but hold it on the surface, so a truly tiny amount can be dosed, the applicator does not drip and it does not shed. Superfine (white) is the finest size of the three: Regular (green), Fine (yellow), Superfine (white). It picks up the least material, but it lets you work at a scale where even a thin brush makes a blot. The manufacturer is the British company Albion Alloys. It is sold individually and the unit of sale is 1 piece.
Reach for Superfine when the main criterion is precision, not quantity. Because it picks up the least medium, on larger areas you will often be topping up; for those, Fine (yellow) is better for ordinary detail, or Regular (green) when you need to transfer a lot of material at once. On figures in small scales and on fine touch-ups, though, the white Superfine is the only sensible choice of the three.
For figure painters, builders of aircraft and car models with a high density of small detail, and for anyone who needs to apply a microscopic dose of glue or wash with confidence. It is a consumable item: once the medium dries, the head is spent.
A modeling aid or tool, not a kit. Paints, glues and chemicals are not part of the delivery. When working with solvent-based media, ventilate the room and protect your hands.
