The package holds two plates 5 mm wide and two 10 mm wide, finished in black. They work as a rigid flat backing to which abrasive paper is fastened.
Most spoiled parts come not from a bad tool but from a bad movement. The most common mistake is pressure: the modeler pushes because he wants to be done, and yet in hand sanding the amount of material removed depends mainly on the number of strokes. The second mistake is a short shuttling movement in one place, which leaves a hollow behind. The third is working blind, that is checking by looking from above; an irregularity is only recognized in the reflection of side light. And the fourth is skipping grits, when polishing follows coarse sanding straight away and the coarse scratches stay visible under the paint. Avoid these four things and a small plate will do the same work as expensive tools.
It is aimed at beginning modelers getting their first proper finishing tools, and at experienced builders whose workshop lacks small sanding boards for tight places.
Do not breathe the abrasive dust, ventilate the bench and keep the small plates out of the reach of children.
