About product

Master Tools Model Chisel RR2 (round blade, 3 mm)

A modeling chisel from the Model Chisel line by Master Tools (Trumpeter). It has a round blade 3 mm wide that cuts a groove with a broad, rounded, semicircular bottom. It is the larger of the round chisels and suits wider curved lines, larger grooves, channels and rounded details. The letter R marks the round profile, while a finer and narrower curve is offered by the R2 version. A rounded groove bottom looks natural in places where a square chisel would leave a sharp, unrealistic transition.

Use

  • Engraving wider grooves with a rounded bottom
  • Deepening larger grooves and channels
  • Curved cutouts and shaping of rounded details
  • Drainage grooves, pressed recesses and rounded hollows
  • Cleaning up and restoring rounded engraving after filling

Who it is for

For modelers who need wider rounded grooves and details, whether on vehicles, aircraft or ships. For a finer, narrower curve the smaller R2 version is the right choice.

The blade is hard and sharp, so work with care and guide it away from your body. Keep out of reach of children.
