Eight shades covering Australian ground equipment, from postwar British greens through vehicles from Vietnam to the sand finish of today's tanks.

The vehicle park of the Australian Army was made up of three worlds, and this set covers all of them. The oldest layer is a rich bronze green, the factory finish of equipment of British origin from the 1950s and 1960s. It was worn by Centurion tanks and by early second-series Land Rover off-roaders, that is, by vehicles that stayed in use in Australia for an exceptionally long time.
The second layer is the camouflage green introduced in 1967 as the overall color of armored vehicles, including those deployed in Vietnam. Its significance did not end with the war: later it served as the base tone for modern patterned camouflage. Belonging with it is the light green shade of the interiors of armored personnel carriers of American origin, among others the various versions of the M113, which Australia operated in enormous numbers.
The 1980s brought European equipment into service and with it a shade different from the one on the older British and American machines.
The yellowish olive covers Leopard AS1 tanks from their delivery in 1976 until roughly the middle of the 1980s, and it was used on the carriers of the 1st Armored Regiment as well. The youngest item is the sand, that is, the factory shade of Australian M1A1 tanks and M88A2 recovery vehicles.
The remaining three tones serve to break up the shape on modern equipment and for the different finish of vehicles operating in the north and west of the continent. The paints belong to a range intended for the airbrush, so you will manage both soft transitions and sharp boundaries between fields without thinning beyond the manufacturer's recommendation.
