Eight gray-blue tones of Greek aircraft: the ghost scheme of the fighters, the Aegean blue of the older machines and today's gray of the transport aircraft.

The second volume of the Greek pair leaves the green and brown past and devotes itself to the gray-blue era. Four shades make up the so-called ghost scheme, which is worn by the F-16C and F-16D fighters of several blocks, then by the F-4E, the F-5A and F-5B aircraft and two Mirage F1CG machines. Three of them create a finely graded transition from a darker spine to a lighter side, and the fourth covers the nose with the radar.
The older guise is represented by the Aegean pattern of the eighties and nineties. The lower surfaces had an aluminum tone and the upper ones the blue-gray FS 35164; this was carried by the Mirage F1CG, the F-5A and the F-4E. The light ghost gray FS 36375 matches the French tone on which the whole Greek fleet of Mirage 2000 machines rests, and the last bottle holds the cloud gray FS 36280, the overall finish of the transport Lockheed C-130H Hercules and Alenia C-27J Spartan introduced in 2010.
Anyone building several Greek machines will appreciate that the set offers both sides of the transition. A machine in the Aegean pattern and its successor in the ghost grays can then stand side by side without the modeler having to look for the tones one at a time and risk two display pieces parting company in shade where they should have been identical.
