This photo-etched brass set from Voyager Model serves for creating a modern camouflage net in the NATO pattern, version Pattern 3, in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but a scenic accessory with which you cover a vehicle or a position and give a scene a realistic element of camouflage. The set is general-purpose and suits modern vehicles as well as standalone dioramas.
Camouflage nets are a common part of the equipment of modern armies; they are put over armored and support vehicles and over firing and observation positions to break up the silhouette and reduce visibility. Photo-etched brass makes it possible to shape the net faithfully so that it follows the contours of the vehicle and looks natural.
The photo-etched part is pliable and once annealed it can be shaped over the model, the terrain or the stowage. Use cyanoacrylate glue to join and fix the parts. Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a primer; a combination of several shades, washes and sprinkled pigments or fine static grass will give you convincing camouflage to match the setting you have chosen.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other materials are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
