A 0.5 mm needle for the Black Flame airbrush (Border Model)

A replacement needle for airbrushes of the Black Flame range in the 0.5 mm form. A larger diameter means a higher flow of paint: an airbrush with this setting suits priming, varnishing larger areas and thicker materials above all, which would pass through a smaller needle only with difficulty. A fine line, in contrast, is not to be expected from it; the smaller diameter is intended for that.

Who the part is for

For owners of airbrushes of the Black Flame range who work with larger models or prime regularly. The needle and the nozzle must have the same diameter, so use a 0.5 mm needle exclusively with a nozzle of the same size. When replacing it, draw the needle out toward the rear and never push it forward through the nozzle. Insert the new needle all the way home and only then tighten the needle chucking nut; too much force deforms the tip.

With larger diameters it is especially important to thin the paint correctly. The thicker coat that an airbrush with this setting lays down easily runs if the material is too thick or if it is sprayed from close up. It is better to work in several thin passes than in one saturated one.

This is a spare part, not a complete airbrush. The tip of the needle is sharp, so store it in a way that keeps it from bending. Clean it with the thinner matching the paint used and ventilate when working with solvents.
