A 0.3 mm needle for the Black Flame airbrush (Border Model)

A replacement needle for airbrushes of the Black Flame range in the 0.3 mm form. Together with the nozzle, the needle is the most heavily loaded part of an airbrush and at the same time a consumable part: it decides how precisely the airbrush meters the paint and how clean the start and the end of a stroke are. The diameter of 0.3 mm corresponds to a universal setting that can manage both overall coverage of smaller parts and a reasonably fine line.

• replacing a bent or blunted needle that causes spatter and an uneven stroke

Who the part is for

For owners of airbrushes of the Black Flame range who need to restore the original quality of the spray. The needle and the nozzle form a pair and must have the same diameter: a 0.3 mm needle cannot be combined with a nozzle of another size. When replacing it, loosen the rear part of the airbrush, draw the needle out toward the rear (never forward through the nozzle, as the tip would be damaged), wipe it and insert the new one all the way home, and only then tighten the needle chucking nut.

You will extend the life of a needle mainly by flushing the airbrush after every session with the thinner matching the paint used and by not letting paint dry inside it. Most bent tips are created precisely while digging the dried remainder out afterwards, not during spraying itself.

This is a spare part, not a complete airbrush. The needle has a very sharp tip, so handle it carefully and store it so that it cannot bend. Clean it with the thinner matching the paint used and ventilate when working with solvents.
