Olive Green is the classic military olive from the acrylic 3rd Generation range of the manufacturer AK interactive. It is an opaque water-based paint in a 17 ml dropper bottle; it is thinned with water or with acrylic thinner — certainly not with lacquer or synthetic thinner. The shade is deliberately subdued and grayed, so on a model it does not look toylike and it takes subsequent lightening, washes and weathering well.
Olive Green and Light Green from the same range aim at different uses. Olive Green is a subdued military green shifted toward gray — the base for camouflage and equipment. Light Green is markedly brighter and more civilian; on its own it does not belong on an armored vehicle, but it is excellent as a lightening component — mix it into the olive and you get a natural modulation shade for the upper surfaces and the edges.
For modelers of military hardware and figures, builders of dioramas and everyone who works with acrylic paints and wants a reliable olive base for a whole model. A water-thinnable base makes the work easier for beginners as well — the brushes are washed with water and no aggressive solvents are needed.
Ensure sufficient ventilation and protect your airways (a respirator) when spraying with an airbrush. Keep out of the reach of children. Shake the bottle before use.
