Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color, Light Gray is a ready-mixed enamel (solvent-based) product for emphasizing panel lines, a panel line wash. It is pre-thinned to the ideal consistency and ready for direct use. The bottle has a brush built into the cap, with which the color is easily applied into engraved detail. The light gray shade suits light and white surfaces, where a purely black wash would look too harsh.

Use

• Apply the product with the brush from the cap to the edge of an engraved line; by capillary action it runs along the panel line and around the detail on its own.
• Once dry, wipe the excess away, usually with a cotton swab or a cloth lightly moistened in enamel thinner, until only the emphasized line remains.
• Apply it over a well-dried base coat (ideally a gloss or semi-gloss clear); we recommend testing the product on a hidden spot beforehand.
• Choose the light gray variant for light and white parts, where it is to emphasize the engraving gently without too sharp a contrast.
