A Number 5 modeling paint in the shade designated Ascona Blue, from a line named after automotive paints.
Responsibility details are not available.
Ascona Blue is a blue shade from the range of the brand Number 5. The paints in this line carry the names of automotive paints, so the shade will serve above all on the bodies of car models and everywhere the color of a vehicle is meant to match a particular name. You can of course also use it outside car models, on any part that blue suits.
Stir the contents thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles in the container and paint from an unshaken bottle looks different once dry than paint that has been stirred properly. It can be applied with an airbrush or with a brush; the thinning ratio and the recommended thinner are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Spray in several thin coats and let the surface flash off between them. One heavy coat floods the fine detail, gathers into drops on the edges and dries far longer.
The body is the largest continuous surface on the whole model and everything beneath the paint shows on it. Before spraying, wash and degrease the model, sand the filled areas back and let the primer dry; it evens out a base of mixed colors and shows the flaws before you flood them with the top shade. Work in a ventilated space away from dust, close the container right after taking paint out and wipe the rim, or the lid will dry shut in time.
For builders of car models who work with named automotive shades, and for anyone looking for a blue for the shelf. The thinner, the primer and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
