The set imitates the Zimmerit coating in the variant with a horizontally worked pattern, as it appeared on some Panther Ausf.D vehicles. Zimmerit was a protective textured layer against magnetic mines. The product is intended for models of the Panther tank in the Ausf.D form in 1:35 scale and represents an accessory with which you give the surface of a model an authentic texture, not a standalone tank kit.
The Panther Ausf.D was the first production Panther, with a long 75 mm gun and sloped armor. The Zimmerit pattern differed between individual vehicles and production batches, and the horizontal form is one of the period-documented surface variants.
Work on a degreased surface and lay the parts so that the horizontal lines run on smoothly. Choose a suitable glue according to the material of the set. The texture comes into its own best after painting and the application of a darker wash, which accentuates the relief.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, and the tank model itself is not included in the package.
