The copper variant of the Pure Metal Pigments line by Green Stuff World. The copper shade is the reddish orange metallic tone of freshly burnished copper, the color of copper piping, boilers, radiators, wiring, roof coverings and decorative fittings. Compared with ordinary metallic paint the pigment has the property that it is not embedded in a binder but laid directly onto the surface; the metallic sheen only arises through mechanical burnishing, when the particles level out into a continuous surface.
With copper the second register is particularly interesting: alongside bright metal there is also its patina. If you lay turquoise and green shades into the recesses and seams of a burnished surface, you get the typical verdigris of old roofs, statues and ship fittings. The combination of burnished metal on the edges and verdigris in the shadows is one of the most effective ways of making a model look like an old thing.
For figure painters, builders of steam engines, ships and steampunk scenes and for modelers of machinery who need convincing copper piping and runs.
A modeling material, not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children, work in a well-ventilated space and do not breathe it in.
