PURPLE SOLDIERS – QUICK GEN SET is made up of four contrast shades of 18 ml each for armies pitched toward purple.
Responsibility details are not available.
The leading tone is a saturated necromancer purple, which on a figure reads dark and ceremonial at the same time. It is rounded out by a pink flesh for faces and bare arms, a cool green as a complementary color for fabrics or potions and a black for the deepest shadows. The set thus manages a whole figure from the hood to the boots, not merely its armor and cloak. Each of the four bottles holds 18 ml.
Purple is one of the tones that easily go black over a dark base. A careful light base is therefore worth it, along with a rather thinner application that can be repeated in a second step only in the places where the color is to be most saturated. The pink flesh, by contrast, should be laid on once and left alone; repeating it takes away the translucency it lives on. Use the black sparingly, as on a small figure it swallows even what is meant to stay readable.
The combination of purple with green is deliberate: complementary colors bring each other out and the unit therefore does not get lost among the others on the gaming table. For edge highlights it is worth reaching for a lighter tone of the palette and backing the purple up further.
Store the bottles out of the reach of children and shake them before use. Do not leave residue of paint to dry on the rim of the neck or on the brush.
