An AK Interactive modeling paint from the Real Colors range in the shade RAF Dark Green, the dark green of the upper surfaces of British aircraft. A 17 ml bottle.
Responsibility details are not available.
Dark Green is a dark green from the palette of the Royal Air Force and it is among the most widespread camouflage shades of the Second World War. Together with the brown Dark Earth it formed the pair with which the upper surfaces of British aircraft were sprayed from the end of the 1930s. The brown component was later replaced by gray on day fighters, but the dark green stayed on the upper surfaces throughout the war.
The shade is the basis for British machines with two-color camouflage on the upper surfaces, from the early fighters through bombers to training and liaison types. It proves itself everywhere a subdued military green with no shift toward olive is needed. It goes well with the other shades of the same range, which cover British lower surfaces and cockpit interiors.
The bottle has to be mixed thoroughly before use, because the pigment settles to the bottom. The paint is applied in several thin coats onto a degreased and dust-free surface, best over a base coat which evens out the absorbency of plastic, putty and accessories. Thinning, the pressure when spraying and the cleaning of tools follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, and you should use the thinner recommended for this range. It pays to give the places under the decals a gloss clear coat, and the finished paintwork is then unified with a final clear coat according to the degree of sheen you want.
The paint alone is supplied, in a bottle holding 17 ml. Thinner, primer, final clear coat and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
