Reddish Black – an AK 3rd Generation acrylic, 17 ml

A water-thinnable acrylic paint for modelers in a bottle with a capacity of 17 ml. Reddish Black is a warm black shifted toward red. It is used as the deepest shadow tone on figures, where a pure black looks too hard and dead. The warm undertone keeps the shadows alive and follows naturally from flesh and uniform shades; it also suits shading the transitions between areas of color.

Use

• It is thinned with water or with the acrylic thinner of the same range, for fine glazing with a brush.
• It is applied into the deepest shadows of skin, hair and the transitions of clothing.
• Use it sparingly; the warm undertone makes shadows more natural than a pure black.
• It also serves well for toning and for mixing dark transitional shades.
