About product

AMMO Rigging Medium Fine 0.02 mm, rigging thread

A fine elastic rigging thread of 0.02 mm from AMMO of Mig Jimenez. It serves for a realistic imitation of lines, bracing wires and antennas on plastic models. Thanks to its elasticity it can be tensioned between two points, so it holds its shape and does not slacken. It is a modeling accessory, not a paint and not a kit.

Use

  • Imitating the lines and bracing wires of biplanes and of aircraft from the First World War period
  • Rigging and lines on ship models
  • Antennas and taut wires on aircraft and vehicles
  • The thread is tensioned between anchor points and fixed with a drop of cyanoacrylate
  • Once fixed, the material can be painted over to match the model

Who it is for

For modelers who want to raise the realism of their models with fine and firm rigging. The thickness of 0.02 mm suits larger scales in particular, where the lines are meant to stand out. Working with an elastic thread is easy, because it will neither snap nor deform when tensioned.

An accessory for models. Cyanoacrylate and the model are not included in the package. Separate and tension the thread carefully, and trim the excess once the glue has dried.

FAQ

It is an elastic rigging thread, not a paint. It serves to imitate lines, bracing and antennas on models.

The thread is tensioned between two anchor points and fixed with a drop of cyanoacrylate. Thanks to its elasticity it stays taut and does not slacken.

This fine thickness suits the rigging of biplanes, of First World War aircraft, of ships and antennas, above all in larger scales.
