Rotten Green - Quick Gen Color is a water-thinnable AK interactive acrylic for figures and gaming models in a murky, greenish color of decay.
Responsibility details are not available.
Rotten Green is an acrylic from the Quick Gen Color range intended for figures and gaming models. It is thinned with water or with the medium from the same range. The shade is a muted green clouded toward yellow and gray - the color of mold, rotting flesh, stagnant water and decayed cloth. The low saturation is the strength here, not a shortcoming.
The use is obvious: undead and infected figures, rotted cloaks and rags, moldy wood, green slime on stones, oxidized metal surfaces, puddles in a diorama. Over a light ground the shade shows exactly as it looks in the bottle; over a dark ground it stays only as a veil, which is useful when you want to infect a surface rather than repaint it.
A scaled-down model forgives few things, but muted colors are one of them. While clean saturated shades always jump a little on a model and have to be watched, murky, low-saturation tones look natural on their own - precisely because that is how a surface that has been exposed to its surroundings looks. Rotten Green is therefore excellent well beyond its obvious purpose: thinned heavily it works as a unifying glaze in corners and joints, where it ties different materials together in color. Apply it in thin layers and watch the surface from a distance rather than close up - a glaze that looks inconspicuous close up does most of the work when you look at the whole model.
Work in a ventilated area. Close the bottle carefully after use.
