A modeling paint from the Vallejo Model Color range in a rich violet shade under the name Royal Purple. One bottle is supplied.
Responsibility details are not available.
Royal Purple is a rich dark violet, that is, a shade you will not find in ordinary camouflage schemes but which is indispensable wherever cloth, wool and ceremonial finish are involved. It belongs to the Vallejo Model Color range, which modelers use mainly on figures and on small areas worked with a brush.
On cloaks, uniform accessories and banners of historical and fantasy figures, on science fiction subjects and on decorative elements of dioramas. It also serves well as an additive: a drop of violet in the shadows of blue or red deepens them more convincingly than black, which deadens the shade. On military vehicles it suits small items and shadows rather than large areas.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles. Rich violet shades cover less well than earth colors, so apply them over a light base and preferably in several thin coats rather than one heavy one; otherwise streaks and edges will stay in the area. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the instructions stated by the manufacturer on the packaging, especially if you spray the paint. Finally, seal finished work on a figure with a clear coat: a matte or satin finish evens out the surface and protects the paint.
For figure painters who need a color for areas of cloth and for accessories, for builders of science fiction and fantasy subjects and for everyone who mixes their own shades and wants a clean violet component at hand. One bottle lasts for a lot of small areas, because it covers in layers.
The paint alone is supplied. Brushes, thinner and clear coat are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
