A modeling paint of the Real Colors range by AK in a sand brown shade listed under the designation RAL 8031-F9.
Responsibility details are not available.
Sandbraun is a sand brown tone, that is a shade from the family of colors that appear on military vehicles in dry and sandy settings. The designation RAL 8031-F9 points into the standardized German chart of shades; the number is a more reliable guide than the written name, because there is a whole range of sand brown tones and noticeably different colors hide under the same name. Before you spray, compare the shade with the references for the machine you are building.
The manufacturer lists the Real Colors range as acrylic and supplies its own thinner for it; the thinning ratio and the recommended way of laying it on are given on the packaging, so keep to those instructions. Stir the contents of the pot thoroughly before every use, as settled pigment will otherwise shift both the tone and the covering power. Lay the paint down in several thin coats and let the surface flash off between them. A single heavy coat fills in the panel lines and floods the engraved detail you have worked to keep on the model.
For builders of military vehicles and aircraft who work from the numerical designations of shades and want a finish that is documented, not guessed.
The paint alone is supplied. Thinner, brushes and the model are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
