A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range, an olive shade of the British system of camouflage colors listed under the designation S.C.C. No. 15 Olive Drab.
Responsibility details are not available.
The abbreviation S.C.C. belongs to the British system of camouflage shades for ground vehicles of the Second World War, in which the individual tones were marked by a number instead of a verbal description. Number 15 carries the olive shade that British vehicles received in the closing part of the war and that replaced the earlier brown tones on machines of the period. The name Olive Drab does overlap with the American designation, but this is a shade of the British range, so the two colors will not merge side by side.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom. The thinner made for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the packaging; follow those instructions. Apply in several thin coats and let each one dry; one heavy coat floods the fine rivets and seams. Always judge the match of the shade on a sprayed and dried sample, not by the color in the bottle.
Modelers of British and Allied ground vehicles who care about having the base finish backed by a period designation will appreciate it. A uniform olive area is also a rewarding base for further work with shadows, dust and wear.
The thinner, brushes and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The volume of the package is given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
