This item is not a kit of a robot on its own. It is an accessory for Bandai SD kits of the Cross Silhouette system: you get a sprue with the parts of the inner structure in red plastic. It makes sense if you already have a kit of this system or are getting one, or if you are building up a stock of joints for your own modifications.
With SD kits the Cross Silhouette system is built on an interchangeable inner structure - depending on which frame is inside, the proportions and the range of movement of the figure change. A separately sold skeleton therefore serves as a spare part, as a source of joints and connectors for your own rebuilds, or as a color variant, when you want the structure showing through to match the color of the rest of the model. Which particular kit the frame can be used with and what exactly the package contains are given in the description on the original box.
Assemble the frame dry first and test how the joints hold. A loose joint can be firmed up with a drop of super glue applied into the cavity and the pin then sanded back to fit. Painting is not necessary, but if you want to match the structure to the model, flatten the glossy surface with a fine abrasive pad and use a primer - on smooth colored plastic the paint rubs off exactly at the moving places. Shades with a metallic effect suit a skeleton better than strongly covering matte colors. Never paint over joints with a thick coat, or the joints will stiffen and the plastic will crack along the axis.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
