A signature collection of third-generation acrylics put together according to the personal palette of the Singaporean figure painter Calvin Tan.
Responsibility details are not available.
This signature collection was created from the selection of Calvin Tan, a figure painter from Singapore whose work regularly appears among the award winners at international shows. Instead of a general cross-section of the range, here you get exactly the tones he works with himself and, with them, the logic on which his characteristic soft transitions are built.
The binder is thinned with water and belongs to the maker's newest development line. The pigment is finely ground, thanks to which the paint loses none of its richness even when heavily thinned and dissolves into a translucent glaze without the edges of individual strokes remaining visible once dry. Adhesion is high, which anyone who turns a figure in their fingers many times during work will appreciate.
It is aimed at painters of figures in small as well as larger sizes, at historical subjects as well as fantasy themes. Anyone who is still learning to build volume with light and shade gets a palette that is internally matched: the shades do not clash with one another and mixing intermediate steps is predictable.
The package forms a coherent whole, so it also works as a gift for someone who is starting out with figure painting and does not want to put a palette together piece by piece. Shake the contents of the bottle thoroughly before each use, as the pigment settles at the bottom while standing and badly mixed paint covers unevenly. Store opened bottles upright out of direct sunlight, and they will then stay usable considerably longer.
