Responsibility details are not available.
A set of hand-painted figures of passengers from the Scenic Accents line of the American maker Woodland Scenics. According to the name there are sixteen figures, that is a markedly more numerous package than the usual genre sets of the same line, suited precisely where a larger area has to be filled at once. The figures are cast from plastic resin, hand-painted and supplied finished.
Sixteen figures are enough to occupy a whole platform, a waiting room, an entrance hall or the interior of a passenger car. It is precisely the number that is the main strength: a crowd can be graded, with some of the people in motion, some standing by their luggage and some at the edge of the platform. The set is therefore a practical foundation to which the individual genre vignettes from the other packages of the same line are then merely added.
Do not place the figures evenly. A crowd comes about through clusters and gaps: two or three figures close together, then an open spot, then another little group. For the interior of a car it is a good idea to try the figures dry before gluing, because the space tends to be tight and some poses will not fit inside. Glue them with a small drop under the soles; sand the soles lightly if need be, so that a figure stands straight. The gloss of the paint can be unified with a very fine spray of matte varnish.
The figures are supplied finished and hand-painted. Glue, terrain and further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
