Flesh tones in markers

A themed set from the PLAYMARKER range put together around a single job: the faces, hands and other exposed areas of figures. Skin tends to be the smallest area on a figure with the greatest impact, because the viewer's eye goes to the face before it goes to the gear. The shades are chosen as a whole, so they work together and you do not have to hunt for them one bottle at a time across different ranges.

How a marker helps

The paint is applied straight from the tip, without a palette and without mixing. That also does away with what most often goes wrong with skin, namely that a mixed tone cannot be repeated on the next figure. The same shade comes out of the marker every time, so a whole group of figures looks consistent, and the work can be broken off at any point and picked up again the next day.

How to work with the markers

• Try the shade on a scrap of plastic; on the small area of a face it is hard to fix.
• Lay down the whole skin tone first and let it dry.
• You can then go lightly over the raised places, that is the nose, the cheekbones and the knuckles, with a lighter shade.
• Apply thin coats; a heavy coat floods the fine relief of the face.
• Wipe the tip now and then so that it does not carry paint from the surrounding parts.
• For thinning, cleaning and clear-coating, follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.

Who it is for

For gamers and modelers who paint figures in larger numbers and want the skin to be the same across a whole group. Before you start painting, rinse the figure in lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry. What is supplied is a set of markers. Figures, varnishes and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Keep out of the reach of children.
