Special Brown (FS 30140)

Mr.Paint Special Brown (FS 30140)

Mr.Paint Special Brown (FS 30140) is a lacquer-based modeling paint from the Slovak manufacturer Mr.Paint. This is not a kit, but a paint in a 30 ml bottle, pre-thinned and ready to spray with an airbrush straight from the bottle. Lacquer paints are thinned with lacquer thinner, not water; they dry very quickly and form an extremely thin, smooth coat with strong coverage that preserves even fine engraving and surface detail. It is applied exclusively with an airbrush.

Special Brown is a rich brown opaque shade matching the American Federal Standard (FS 30140). It serves as the brown component of camouflage schemes on American military equipment and aircraft. Choose the exact aircraft types and the combination with other shades to match the specific subject you are building.

Use

• Applied exclusively with an airbrush, in thin coats straight from the bottle.
• Sprayed over a cured primer, which evens out coverage and adhesion.
• Fast drying allows for early masking and layering further shades.
• Use the lacquer thinner from the same brand for thinning and cleaning, never water.
• A brown opaque paint for American camouflage schemes

Who it is for

For modelers who want to paint the brown component of an American camouflage scheme in an accurate shade matching the standard. Given the application method, it will mainly be appreciated by airbrush users — from more advanced beginners to experienced builders.

Lacquer paints are flammable and contain solvents. Apply exclusively with an airbrush in a well-ventilated area, away from open flame, and use a respirator or other respiratory protection. Keep out of reach of children.
