Square Top Display Plinth is a display plinth from the maker Green Stuff World with a square top of 4x4 cm in the Hazelnut Brown shade, that is in a warm brown tone. The flat square surface gives a model a stable base with clearly fixed edges, and the plinth at the same time raises finished work above the level of the table, where it acts as a completed exhibit rather than a piece set down.
The square top of 4x4 cm is among the smaller dimensions in the range and corresponds to single figures and miniatures. An angular shape suits where a plinth is to support the geometry of a model - with machinery, architectural features or figures with a pronounced stance - whereas a round plinth looks softer. What decides is the proportion to the model: from too small a plinth a model visually overflows, while too large a one makes it smaller. The Hazelnut Brown shade is calm and does not overpower the color of the work itself, so it goes with a warm and a cold palette alike.
It suits painters of miniatures, collectors of figures and modelers who want to display finished work uniformly. The range is run in several dimensions and shades, so a whole display case can be matched into one look.
