Static grass with a fiber length of two to three millimeters in the mixed shade of countryside scrub, in a package of 200 ml. This tone is neither purely green nor dry; green is mixed into it with ocher tones, so it matches growth that nobody looks after. Areas like that are the commonest of all in dioramas.
It suits field margins, verges, waste ground, abandoned yards, the edges of trenches and the areas between buildings. It serves beautifully as a transitional layer between a fresh meadow and dry soil, because it breaks up the hard boundary between two shades and the area then looks natural.
Coat the area with PVA glue and apply the grass with an electrostatic applicator. Work in layers and let the glue dry between them. Neglected growth has an uneven height, so add longer fibers in tufts and scatter foliage or small plants between them. Vacuum the excess off once it has dried and tone the area lightly with an airbrush.
This is a material for making landscape. The glue and the applicator are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Once it has dried, check the area from the eye level of a figure; from there you can tell whether the growth looks neglected or merely unfinished.
