Omask Stripes 1.0 mm (135 x 90 mm) Oramask foil is a sheet of pre-cut masking stripes 1.0 mm wide, made of Oramask masking film. A stripe only has to be lifted off the sheet and stuck onto the model, so there is no cutting of straight strips from a roll.
Responsibility details are not available.
A universal Omask masking sheet with pre-cut straight stripes 1.0 mm wide. The material is self-adhesive Oramask masking film. It is not a set cut to the outline of a particular kit, but a stock of stripes from which you take exactly as many as you happen to need. The 1.0 mm width is among the finest in the range and is suited above all where a thicker line would be intrusive, that is to smaller scales and to small parts. The range offers the same sheets in widths from 0.6 to 2.0 mm, so you can put together a set according to the scales you build in. Check how many stripes are on a sheet and how long they are on the packaging.
Lay a stripe on a perfectly dried and smooth finish; freshly applied paint should not be masked, because it tears when the mask is lifted. Once it is in place, press the edge down thoroughly, for instance with a wooden toothpick, so that paint does not seep under it. Spray in thin coats and preferably in several passes, as a heavy coat leaves a noticeable step at the edge. Lift the film shortly after the paint has set, slowly and at a sharp angle away from the masked edge. On curved surfaces it is better to lay the stripe in shorter sections than to force it into a curve.
The package contains masking material only. Paints, varnish, a model and tools are not included. On a delicate finish test the adhesion first on a hidden area.
