The bag holds ten flat ABS strips with a cross-section of 0.75 x 3.00 millimeters and a length of 350 millimeters. That is 3.5 meters of material in total. It is not a finished part, nor a set for one particular kit, but a semi-finished material from which you make the shape you need yourself.
Three quarters of a millimeter of thickness holds the shape considerably better than the thinnest strips, so it suits places where the part has to carry a load or stay straight: stiffeners, frames, floor beams, a stop when gluing, a curb in a diorama or a replacement for a missing part. Bending it into a curve, on the other hand, is noticeably harder. The width of three millimeters corresponds in 1:35 scale to roughly ten and a half centimeters on the real thing and the thickness to about two and a half centimeters, in other words a thicker plank.
A thicker strip is divided in the same way as a thin one, it only needs more passes: score it with a sharp blade against a ruler and snap it off, then sand the cut flat with fine sandpaper. It bonds with cyanoacrylate glue or with a glue intended for ABS. Test solvent cement for polystyrene on an offcut first, ABS reacts to it differently from ordinary modeling plastic. Wash the surface before painting, degrease it and apply a primer, because paint holds considerably worse on the bare material.
Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
