The plastic kit SUN QUAN ASTRAY HE YAN XIANG HU from the Japanese company Bandai. The parts are pre-colored in the plastic and snap together, so the model comes about without glue and without painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit from the Gundam line in which the world of mobile suits meets the figures of the Chinese Three Kingdoms. The name joins the name of the historical ruler Sun Quan with the Gundam line Astray and with a further epithet in Chinese transcription. The model is made by the Japanese company Bandai as a snap-fit kit: the parts are already colored right through and snap together, so you need neither glue nor paints for the build.
Gundam series that move mobile suits into historical settings have long been among Bandai's favorites. In them the machines are given armor, helmets and accessories inspired by period warriors, so the result stands somewhere between a robot and a knightly figure. It is exactly that combination that makes models like this rewarding pieces for a display case: they have striking colors, a lot of decorative parts and work well on their own, without the rest of the series. Check the actual form, the equipment and the contents of the package on the box.
Separate the parts with nippers a little away from the part and level the gates with a file or a sanding sponge; on decorative parts burrs show at once. Put the small accessories aside in a dish during the build, as they are easily lost. Decorative features come out well when you pick them out with a paneliner or a dark wash that runs into the recesses. A unifying matte or semi-gloss varnish will rid the plastic of its sheen, while the gold and colored surfaces take a gloss varnish well. Anyone who wants to go further can add hand-painted details with a brush.
The parts are pre-colored in the plastic and snap together. Glue and paints are not needed for the build; tools and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
