The set Surveyors from Woodland Scenics are finished, hand-painted figures of surveyors with staking-out equipment in HO scale (1:87) for a construction site and trackwork.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Surveyors set belongs to the line of scenic accessories of the American brand Woodland Scenics for HO scale (1:87). It holds figures of surveyors at their staking out, figures by an instrument on a tripod and with a leveling rod. The figures are modeled in detail and hand-painted, they are supplied finished and are only set in place.
Surveying is an activity that the viewer recognizes at once from the tripod and from the distance between the two figures, and one that at the same time explains by itself why a scene is only half built. The set therefore suits the building of a new line, a widened embankment, a road construction site, the surveying of a bridge or a place where the terrain is only being shaped. It is an elegant way of giving the unfinished part of a layout a meaning.
Set the figures apart and in one straight line, because it is precisely the distance between the surveyor at the instrument and the assistant with the rod that makes the scene legible. The tripod is the thinnest part of the casting, so hold it by the body of the instrument while gluing. Glue with a spot drop of cyanoacrylate glue. Matte varnish evens out the gloss of the paints, and a pinch of pigment on the footwear and the trouser legs links the figures to the dug-up terrain. Shades may differ slightly between production runs.
The figures are supplied finished and hand-painted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
