Wolf Fur texture plate from Green Stuff World

A plate with the engraved relief of long animal hair in the form of wolf fur. Pressing it into soft modeling putty gives a surface with credible directional hair, which can be used on cloaks, capes, fur collars and whole fur coats. Engraving such a surface by hand is very slow and rarely comes out evenly. The dimensions of the plate and the material are given on the packaging.

Use

• Roll the modeling putty out into a thin, even layer.
• Moisten the plate and the putty lightly, or coat them with a release agent, so that the putty does not stick in the relief.
• Press down evenly over the whole area, best with a roller, so that the impression is equally deep everywhere.
• Lift the impression off, bend it over the shoulders or the back of a figure while it is still soft and adjust the drapery.
• Once it has cured, trim the edges, work the transitions in with putty and paint the surface with a dry brush, which will bring out the hair.
