This title is a modeling magazine from the AMMO of Mig Jimenez imprint, not a model or a set of paints. The whole series is built on one principle: each issue keeps to a single theme and takes it apart step by step on specific builds, accompanied by large photographs of the individual stages. Issue 30 is focused on abandoned and laid-up vehicles, that is machines that have served their time and been left standing in the open.

What the theme covers

An abandoned machine is a task in itself for a modeler. It is not about ordinary grime from service but about long-term decay: corrosion working its way through, paint flaking and fading, water getting in, dust settling and plants taking hold. Working with this theme means thinking about time, that is about how long the machine has stood, in what surroundings, and what has been taken off it and by whom. That way of thinking matters more to such builds than any single technique, and it is also the reason a whole issue is devoted to the theme.
