A saturated pigment in an ultra-fluid base. A magenta tone that colors what is underneath instead of covering it.
Responsibility details are not available.
This brand's translucent acrylic inks combine a saturated pigment with a very thin binder. A coat therefore does not hide the detail beneath it but colors it: light passes through the layer, bounces off the surface and comes back out already tinted. Magenta is among the most effective tones on this principle. Over silver or chrome it gives a deep metallic cast, over white a clean pink surface, and over red it shifts the shade toward burgundy.
Most often it serves for painting bodywork in the spirit of what are called candy paints, where several light coats are laid over a shiny metallic base and the final saturation is set by their number. In figure work it helps to shade fabrics and cloaks, to bring out energy effects and to tone light sources. Anyone working with photo-etch will value the shade for picking out small surfaces without losing the engraving beneath them.
The package is a single bottle of one shade. A translucent color does not replace a covering coat; it is taken for granted that a base layer stays under it, which it is there to tone. The shade belongs to a twelve-part translucent sub-range, so it can be rounded out with neighboring tones to build a smooth transition.
