Grass tufts given as 5 mm for building dioramas, scenes and bases under models and figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
A grass tuft is a ready-made clump of blades that is settled onto a scene as a whole. It saves the work of making your own vegetation and above all gives a landscape a third dimension: loose scatter stays flat, whereas a tuft stands out above the ground, casts a shadow and breaks up a uniform area. The figure of 5 mm in the name corresponds to the height of the growth, so it is low to medium-high grass, which suits the trodden edges of paths, the grassy strips between vehicle tracks and areas where the growth is not to overgrow the models.
Place them irregularly and in clumps of unequal size; a continuous even strip gives a scene away at first glance. Settle a tuft onto a drop of PVA or cyanoacrylate glue and hold it for a moment until the joint sets. Check on the box whether a tuft has an adhesive underside of its own. Then cover the foot of the tuft with fine scatter, so that the trace of glue disappears and the transition into the ground looks smooth. Once dry, the blades can be trimmed with scissors to an irregular height or gently toned with a dry pigment, so that the growth does not come across as all one color.
They will be appreciated by builders of dioramas, cabinet scenes and bases who are after quick and convincing vegetation without mixing their own grass. The material is not tied to one scale; with the size of the model only the density and the number of tufts used change.
A board, terrain compound, the model, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The number of tufts in the package is stated on the box.
